Chica Travel takes you on a journey that combines the colours, flavours and magic of Marrakech with the breathtaking landscapes of the Moroccan Sahara. We’ll wander through the lively medina, discover hidden corners of Marrakech, cook together with a local chef and experience the tranquillity of a traditional Moroccan hammam. Then we’ll leave the city behind and travel through the dramatic High Atlas Mountains, ancient Kasbahs and beautiful valleys towards the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. There, we’ll spend a night under a sky full of stars, meet local people and simply enjoy the magic of the Sahara. And before heading home, there’s time to slow down, relax and enjoy one last beautiful evening in Marrakech.

DAY 1
Marrakech
After arriving in Marrakech, you’ll be taken to our beautiful Riad in the heart of the medina. There is time to settle in, enjoy a Moroccan mint tea and soak up the atmosphere. In the evening, we’ll meet for a relaxed welcome dinner and get to know the women we’ll be sharing this adventure with.
DAY 2
Discover Marrakech
After a delicious traditional breakfast we start discovering the magic of the Red city. Together with a female local guide, we’ll explore the colourful medina, wander through the souks and discover some of the city’s most beautiful and fascinating places. Along the way, you will learn all about real life in Morocco, rich in tradition and culture and experience the sounds, scents and colours that make Marrakech so unique. There will also be time for a leisurely lunch and some free time to explore, shop or simply enjoy the atmosphere of the Red City. The evening is at your leisure.
DAY 3
Cook, taste & enjoy
Today is all about flavours and togetherness. We’ll start the day at a relaxed pace, with time for an early morning walk to see how Marrakech slowly awakens. Later in the morning, we will join a fun Moroccan cooking workshop to discover the secrets behind the country’s rich and aromatic cuisine. Using fresh local ingredients and traditional spices, we’ll prepare classic dishes together before sitting down to enjoy the lunch we’ve created.
DAY 4
From Marrakech to the Atlas Mountains
After early breakfast, we leave Marrakech behind and cross the colourful High Atlas Mountains via the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka pass. Along the way we’ll stop at the famous Aït Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most impressive fortified villages and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our inspiring female insider’s guide will guide us through the maze of narrow passages of this ancient fortified city, built from traditional earth and clay. From here we continue towards Ouarzazate and the beautiful Dades Valley, where we’ll spend the night surrounded by dramatic mountain landscapes.
DAY 5
Into the golden Sahara
Today we leave the mountains behind and make our way through the spectacular Todra Gorge, passing through the changing landscapes and the town Erfoud and Rissani until almost out of nowhere, the landscape transforms into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. We’ll mount our camels for a ride through the golden dunes of the Sahara, right in time to admire the sunset. Arriving at a luxury desert camp, you will be welcomed with Moroccan tea and some sweet delights followed by delicious dinner by the campfire accompanied by the soft rhythms of Gnawa music and millions of stars above. It promises to be a magical night in the heart of the desert.
DAY 6
Desert sunrise & back to Marrakech
It is worth waking up early on this day if you don’t want to miss out one of the best sunrises ever. A perfect moment to meditate. After breakfast and a final desert walk, we begin our journey back towards Marrakech, crossing the spectacular Moroccan landscape once again. It’s a long travel day, but one filled with beautiful views and memories of our Sahara adventure.
DAY 7
Hammam & me-time
Today is all about slowing down. After our desert adventure and the long journey back to Marrakech, it’s time to relax and recharge. We’ll enjoy a traditional Moroccan hammam and massage, giving you the perfect opportunity to unwind and indulge in some well-deserved ME-time. The rest of the afternoon is yours. Relax at the Riad, explore a little more of Marrakech, do some shopping or simply enjoy a slow afternoon. In the evening, we prepare for a special farewell: a traditional Moroccan tea ceremony at a hidden gem full of tranquility, style and Moroccan delights. We sample different teas, nibble on local pairing specialties, and share memories of this special journey during our farewell dinner.
DAY 8
Goodbye & departure
Unfortunately, our time together has come to an end. After breakfast, our Moroccan adventure comes to an end and we say goodbye to our fellow chicas and everyone departs to the airport.
