Applicability
The general terms and conditions of Chica Travel apply to every agreement between Chica Travel and the customer. The travel agreement is established when the traveler accepts the organizer’s offer. The general terms and conditions apply to every trip.
Payment
1. Within a few days after the travel agreement is established, the traveler will receive a booking confirmation in the form of an invoice.
2. At the time of the travel agreement’s establishment, a deposit of EUR 450 must be paid to account number NL 63 INGB 0007257008. A booking becomes final only after receipt of the deposit.
3. The deposit must be paid within 5 business days of the invoice date.
4. The remaining amount of the travel sum must be paid no later than eight weeks before the start of the trip. If the booking is made within eight weeks of the trip’s start date, the full travel sum must be paid within five days. In the event of late payment, Chica Travel may cancel the travel agreement after a single reminder, and the cancellation costs incurred will be charged to the traveler. Any amount already paid will be applied against these cancellation costs. Discounts like the 10% group discount applies to the base travel price only. Any supplements, including the single room supplement, are charged separately and are not subject to discount.
Traveler’s Responsibility
The traveler is responsible for possessing valid passports and other travel documents. The absence of these documents is not grounds for free cancellation, and any consequences of having incorrect or missing documents are entirely the responsibility of the traveler.
Cancellation by Chica Travel
The Organizer may cancel the Travel Agreement before the start of the trip and refund the Traveler all amounts paid for the trip without being liable for compensation:
1. a) if the minimum number of participants for the Package has not been reached.
2. b) in the event of force majeure, which means unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances.
It will be announced no later than eight weeks before departure whether the minimum number of 6 participants has been reached and the trip will proceed. We advice the Traveller to only purchase flight tickets after confirmation of Organizer that the trip is guaranteed.
In the above cases, the Organizer will immediately refund the amounts already received to the Traveler, no later than within 14 days. Costs incurred by the Traveler for services not covered by the Travel Agreement, such as vaccinations, visas, equipment purchases, insurance, and, if not included in the trip, flights, tickets, accommodation, etc., will not be reimbursed.
Cancellation by the Traveler
Cancellation must be made via email. In case of cancellation, each traveler owes the following amounts: a) From 7 weeks up to the day of departure or later: 100% of the total travel sum. We recommend purchasing cancellation insurance to avoid unnecessary costs. b) From 7 to 8 weeks before departure: the deposit of 450 euro.
