What do the programs look like?

We keep afternoons largely free. That is your window for a second museum, a wander through the shopping streets, or simply sitting down in a park among the Madrileños on their day off.
The evening is the main event. We go for tapas in the old quarters, where the bars each have their own specialty and the street stays busy until late. Anyone who wants to carry on can, and anyone who wants to head back does.

When is the best time to travel to Madrid?
Madrid sits at over six hundred meters, in the middle of the Spanish plateau, and the weather reflects that. Summers are dry and hot, well past thirty-five degrees at the height of the season, and winter nights can drop below freezing.
The most comfortable months are April through June and September and October. Warm enough for the terraces that make the city what it is, cool enough to walk all day without flagging.
If you would rather have the city to yourself, the quieter winter months are worth considering. It is chilly, but the museums are calm and hotel rates drop considerably.
